BINGO BASICS
Welcome to the section we call bingo basics, not everybody is familiar with online bingo or even bingo itself
for that matter. So in this section we'll give you a crash course, so that you can get up and running and enjoying some online bingo fun. If you're new
to bingo then you'll hopefully find the answers to all of your questions.
BINGO CALLS
"Bingo Calls" are part of the fun of going to a bingo hall in the UK
and luckily some online bingo sites have an option to hear the calls being made by pre-recorded bingo callers. So if you're new to bingo, whether it's online
bingo or you're off to a bingo hall - BingoDock have put together a list of the bingo calls you're most likely to hear in the UK, which you'll find in the
column on the left hand side. Some of the bingo calls rhyme and others are just do with the number itself, such as 13 being unluck for some and 14 being for
Valentines Day (i.e. 14th February). It's not necessary to know all of the calls, but it certainly makes for good fun and you'll soon find yourself shouting
out the bingo calls as the bingo balls are drawn at the bingo site of your choice.

BINGO CHAT
Chatrooms are what make Online Bingo Rooms fantastic, they create a real sense of community and it is great to see your rivals congratulating you
whether you've won a big jackpot or a tiny prize. Online bingo is more than just a game, it really does recreate the bingo hall experience and
many bingo players have made new friends after spending a couple of hours playing bingo and having a good old natter in the chatroom. All chatrooms
have moderators and the moderators are usually amongst the chattiest there and as well as being ultra friendly they also announce random prizes throughout the day.
For people unfamiliar with chatroom abbreviations, the acronyms which fly through the Bingo Chatrooms at speed can leave your head spinning.
So for your enjoyment and to increase your knowledge to help you chat away in Online Bingo Rooms, please find our list of commonly used Bingo Abbreviations,
on the right hand side of this page.

BINGO GAMES
Typically the bingo games you'll find in online bingo halls are 75 Ball Bingo and 90 Ball Bingo.
90 Ball Bingo
90 ball bingo sees the player purchase a bingo card and you have to mark the numbers off as they are called out. Simply match the winning pattern and BINGO, you've won.
Luckily online bingo halls automatically mark your cards for you, so you don't have to be a dab hand with a bingo dabber.
In 90 ball bingo, the cards consist of 3 rows and 9 columns, with each row containing 5 numbers, giving you 15 numbers per card. This means that 12 squares
are blank on each card, do not be alarmed, this is the same for everyone :-)
Winning patterns in 90 ball bingo are easy to follow, with the first player to complete a line across the card winning a prize, another prize is awarded to
the player completing 2 lines across the card with the final and largest prize being awarded to the player completing the full card for a bingo full house.
90 ball bingo is the predominant game variant of both the United Kingdom and Australia, although 75 ball bingo is starting to feature more increasingly as
it offers numerous patterns to win. Which type of game you play though is entirely your choice.
75 Ball Bingo
The main difference between 75 & 90 ball bingo, is that apart from the obvious (ie there is less balls), the cards are symmetrical consisting of 5
\rows and 5 columns. As we mentioned earlier, 75 ball bingo lends itself more easily to playing lots of different patterns on the cards and various
shapes, letters & numbers are regular features as bingo games.
The ability to play different patterns each game help to keep your bingo fun fresh and it is easy to see why 75 ball bingo is so popular in North America,
with US bingo players and Canadian bingo players being big fans of this format.
Non-Bingo Games
The vast majority of bingo sites now offer non-bingo games within their software, there is of course no obligation to try these out, but many sites will
offer you free cash if you decide to try your hand at the various online slot games on offer or the increasingly popular casino games such roulette, blackjack and keno.
